S.P.I.

Well here it is the 6th of Dec. and I just wanted to update you and let you know what has been happening

we had a great Thanksgiving and now moving on to Christmas. When we left Canyon Lake and went to Corpus

Christi and had a wonderful week there. We went out on a gambling ship and enjoyed it very much and came back a little bit broker then we already was. We walked on the beach and our Condo was right on the bay side so we had a great view. We then came on down to South Padre, Is. and we are all moved in now. We got here on

the first of Dec. and that was Carl's Birthday and that night we went out to eat at Pirate's Landing and had our

fish and a free desert and was it ever good. We have been swiming everyday but yesterday as it was so windy that they didn't open the pool but the hot tub was open so we enjoyed it. We love it here and the pool is heated and we go swiming real early at eight a.m. when it opens up.

We are going to Donna, Tx. tomorrow to the Flee Market and I know that I will enjoy that very much but we

will swim first so we will have our work out before we walk most of the day. We have our Christmas Tree up and the kids make fun of it. Guess it does look sort of sad, well you can see it as I have posted a picture of it.

Well have a great day and till next time ................

P.S. Oh yes we went to see a movie today and was it ever good it was Yours Mine and Ours we laughted out

loud so much it was good that there was only four of us in the Movie...................

Williamsburg, va.

Well we are still in Williamsburg, Va. and having a wonderful time.

We checked out of the first resort after we had spent our week and then went down to Virginia Beach for one night and stayed at the Military Base Oceana Naval Station which was very nice and was very affordable also. We came back and are now at Kingsgate Resort which is wonderful and we have been going swiming everyday. This is the life as Carl and I was talking today that we have a pool and hot tub and don't have any of the work that goes with it.

We are taking a bus tour to D.C. this Thursday and tomorrow we are going back to Virginia Beach and cross the 17 mile Bridge and tunnel and then down to the boradwalk that is if I am able as I don't do well in Tunnels but we will see.

Well I will hush for now and talk again later and let you know about the bridge.........

Williamsburg, Va.

Well we are in Williamsburg, Va. at a really nice Resort Called Fairfield Willieamsburg at Patriots Place. It is

a real big place and we are close to everthing and they have buses that go all around so we don't have to drive and worry about parking. We just got here today so we moved in and didn't do much else. Carl seems to have taken a summer cold. Hope we can nip it in the bud.

We left Atlantic City and spent last night ( the Second ) at a Military Base called Quantico in Va. it is just about

one hundred and fifty miles from here and about thirty miles from D.C. The Military Base is an older base but it is very good shape and it is also very large. I sure feel blessed to be able to do all of this and have all the extra thangs that we have through the Military. Thank god that Carl stayed and retired from the Army Reserve. We haven't been to D.C. yet but we are going just don't know what day yet. They have a Gost tour here at eight p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays so think we will do that on Tuesday.

Well good night and will talk to you latter. The Roaming Nordins

Still in N.J.

Well it is our last day in Atlantic City and I been Shopping every day that we have been here but couldn't

make up my mind what to get for the kids and the Grandkids and of course Great Grandson so went into this

one store and got it all at once. We don't do this at every place but maybe a couple of times a year. The

price of Gas now we may do alot less. I laughed and told Carl that something has to cut back on and that

might be food and we could be on a diet and this time a real diet But we are still so lucky when we think

about the people in La. and Ms. I hope that there is  a light at the end of their tunnel and they see it soon.

We have about 370 miles to our next place in Williamsburg,Va. but we have a night in between here and there

as we check in on the 3ed so we are staying about half way at a Military Base Called Quantico Marine Corps

Base for one night. We try to keep in mind the places that we might like to come back to and Atlantic City is

not one of those places. We did find two good places to eat that was cheap and the place that has the Dollars

is one and the Sands Buffet is another one that is if you get a players card then it is only 7.77 and it is

really good. We tried the Garden Terrace Buffet tonight and I would not go back there. It was 7.99 and that

was 7.98 to much.

Well till next time this is the Roaming Nordins signing off and keep kindness in your heart for you never

know when you will meet people that need it the most

Atlantic City

Well here it is on tuesday and we have walked the boardwalk every day and have enjoyed it very much.

We just don't like all the trash that is all over. We got a preview of the air show today and they start

tomorrow and go for three days. We noticed that there were lots more people coming to the walk this

after noon. It was getting pretty crowded about four so we went and visited the Casino and lost alittle

I had been playing and coming out about five dollars ahead but not to night. We just played the penny

slots.

I have added more pictures so check them out. We have found this real different place to eat and they

have good food and it is really reasonable. The whole place is papered with dollar bills. We were talking

to one of the waitress and she said that it is estimated to have around ten thousand dollars in that little

place. They are everywhere .

Well guess I will hush for now as I am having trouble keeping my eyes open so until nest time hope all

stays well and everyone say prayers for the Hurricane Victims as they need all of our help anyway they

can get it.........

Atlantic City, New Jersey

Well we got here on Friday and yes we hit the Casinos then walked the boardwalk and we liked that very much that is if you can get passed the

trash that is all over and it seems like no one cares.

We had a wonderful time with Heidi in Ct. and she is the perfect host but she is leaving and going back to Mn and that is alright to as she wants to be around family. We just hope all of the kids can come to South Padre Island this year to see us. It will be between Christmas and New Year when they think they can make it if at all.

On our way from Heidi's to here we spent a night at the Military Base,

Fort Dix and was that ever a nice place and it is one place that we would

go back to if we have a chance.

We are staying at Park Lane and it is one of the four original buildings that is left. They have kept it up very well. We have a living room and Kitchen and one bedroom and bath. The Kitchen is small but I don't do

much cooking anyway. When we had our house in Mn. my Mom told me

we should change the kitchen into a bedroom and rent it out and at least

that way it would be used.

Well guess I will stop my rambling and talk to you letter

Sunday and Ice Cream in a Cow Pasture

Well to day is Sunday and what a day as I said before we are on a Diet must be the one see it and eat it.
We started the day off at a wonderful little Restaurant and then we went looking for a Palm Reader that we didn't
find and the one that we did find was closed so back home for a while then out to Dinner at the Golf Course and
then Heidi took us over to meet a dear friend of hers and their little baby gril that is four months old and is
 she ever a living doll.
Then we went out for Ice Cream and the first place was closed but of course Heidi knew of another place
that was suspose to be real good and let me tell you about it.......
First off the name is Rich's Farms and we go down this winding road and then all of a sudden there is a sign
beside the road and real steep drive and when we got in the drive it was a fram house and I told Heidi that
it looked like they were just having a family get-together (Big Family). When we got out ot the car we were
met with the Sweet aroma of Barn Yard and Sugar Cane and a small Shed like With the Best Ice Cream I beleive
I ever ate. As we sat on a rock wall (as all of the picnic tables were full) enjoying the country smell and
the great Ice Cream the people next to us were enjoying a family chat in Greek. This is really Ct. I think
 it is great.
Here are a Couple of pictures of the place called Rich's Farms click on photos

Here in Ct.

Here we are in Ct. with Daughter # 3 (Heidi) and we are having a wonderful time. Last night we went to see the Rockcats play baseball that is the Mn. Farm team. and they won so that was very exciting for us. Today we went and had Cheesy Pancakes at this little Diner called The Lunch Box and they were wonderful. We had been there two years ago and not much had changed. Well I should not say it that way as a lot went on for him as he had to have five bypass heart surgery. He has just reopened in the last six weeks but says he is feeling great. It is run by a man named Mike Wonderful guy and seems like a real nice family. You can click on the photos and see the wonders of the Lunch Box.

Then we went on a train ride and a boat ride on the Ct. river and that was great as the weather was wonderful and then we had late lunch at this old Inn and it was a wonderful old restored building and then we went and had Ice Cream at this little shop and as you can tell that we are on a diet right........ Then we just walked around and shopped at some of the neatest shops. Heidi is a wonderful Hoist and we are enjoying our selves so much. We feel so blessed to be able to do this and enjoy our family and friends and the new friends that we have met along the way.......

Well until next time everyone have a great day and stay safe

Here At Hanscom, Ma.

Here we are at Hanscom, Ma. Military Base and it is very nice and we are going to Salem tomorrow and to night we are going out to eat here on the base at the mimuteman club. When we left the Enco Lodge and went to the

base in Bangor, Me. we didn't have internet service there and we stayed five days and they were very niece. We went to Bar Harbor and that was quite the experience as there was road work on the main road or the only road going over there. Well they don't just work on part of the road they tore up the whole thing both lanes and then was working on the Sholders. The Houses along the way have little drives and some times they don't even have room for a drive so it is there yard. I have noticed that they do there flowers in barrels or boxes and not so much in yards as they don't have much there.

Well till next time the Roaming Nordins will contiue to roam

Last night we stayed at Jackman,Me. and let me tell you there is no cell phone service in this area. We had to drive about three miles over a mountain to a lookout to get out phone to work. It is a very pretty place and driving here we followed the river and was it ever pretty. We are at a small cafe and the food was just great and the people was so friendly at Jackman. Don't think I would want to live there but was a nice place to visit and to vacation.

Wonderful time in Niagara Falls

We started exploring Niagara Falls on Tuesday the second and did we ever. We walked and road the Trolley around and that was really great as it runs all around the Park and Goat Island. We saw the falls in so many different ways and loved each time. We went through the Caves of wind and then the boat up to the falls and got wet each time. We ate at the Top of the falls and had a wonderful lunch on the deck. Yesterday we went on the canada side. We walked across the bridge and went to see the birds of the lost kingdom. then rode the People Mover up to the Skylon Tower  and had a very good lunch and dessert and we revolved around as we ate and could see for 80 miles the tower was 775 ft. tall. It was so great...

Tommorrow we leave and cross into Canada and will travel up to Kingston and then on toward Quebec and then into Maine. Well till next time

Stopped in Mn.

Well it has been a long spring and Summer this year we left Mn. in Aug. of 2004 and Hit the road as we sold everything and our House also to travel for two years. My beloved Mother who was 90 years young was with us as we traveled. She got sick in Jan. of 2005 and we had to bring her back and she then passed on

in April here at My Daughters house. Something that could have been so bad turned out so nice, sad but nice.

We have been here with family and friends but now we will be hitting the road again only this time it will be only the two of us and that will seam stramge. We will leave here on the 25th of this month.
