Trip to Apache Flats

We (Carl & I) took off and went for a drive yesterday 5-5 to Apache Flats and was it ever wonderful trip. We drove all the way to Roosevelt Dam. We made the twenty miles of the dirt road and was it ever rough and up the mountain and around and down again and again but you do see some beautiful sights. As soon as we got back Carl went and washed the truck. We stopped and ate at Ma's and was that ever a good place to have lunch. I got little light headed from the high alitude and all of the curves

but it was worth it. The Lakes that you see along the way just adds to all the beauty. Well guess I will hush as we are going out to have something to eat at Subway as we have a coupon. so talk at ye latter

Home on a Sunday morning

Heltlo,

It has been a long time since I visited here or updated so here goes. The last time was when we were in Cottage Grove, MN. last year. We came home and have had a busy time. We helped move some dear friends to Ohama, NB. in Nov. of 2007. We had a good Christmas and New Year. In Feb Son Jon and (Wife) Genevieve came down for almost a week and we had a wonderful time with them. It is so much fun to get to know your kids all over again as young adults and know that they are aright and how proud we are of them.

In March Daughters (Julie & Heidi) came down and we had such a good time and was so busy. I think they forget that we are getting old but just glad that they still want to do things with us. We went to the Grand Canyon and then spent the night in Sedona and the next day we did Sedona and I mean we did Sedona Ha. I think we looked under ever rock. We went to two Vortexs and they were great. I was so nice as the kids had searched every thing out on the internet and had plans made so we only had to enjoy it all and enjoy we did. Having grown kids are so much fun.

In first of part April our Great Grandson and His Mother (Shannon) came down for a few days and that was so nice as we got to know them all over again and show them around. The G-Grandson is three so he is very busy and a early riser, at six thirty he was aready to go out and play ball. I played more ball with him then I did when I was a kid myself.

The first of March our good friends from Iowa came down and spent a Month here as we had rented a house for them here in Sunland Village where we live. That was another story but we finally got it livable for them and I hope that it doesn't make them where they won't want to do that again. All and all we had a wonderful time and sure hated to see them go back home to Iowa. Oh yes, I forget to mention Kipper we were glad to see him also. He is so cute and has such a personality.

We had our good friends from Ohama, to come down for a month. They rented furniture and put it in his house that is for sale and we had such a good visit with them and sure hated to see the time come to take them to the air port.

Oh yes I should say that we had all the friends that live here in the winter and that has now gone back to where they are form. The Kittson County Group that meets at the Feed Bag in Apache Junction was fun to join and to meet and catch up on all that was going on in their lives.

Well it is quite here now and I think I am having withdrawals so guess I will have to find something to do or some place to go
