Monday 28 09

Today is our monthly anniversary and Carl got me a card just as he has every month for 28 years and then we went out to breakfast at Mc & Don's and I am cleaning up the spare room and the bed is clear and Carl said I should take a picture of it as it won't stay that way. I am still taking care of my two people and today I had the morning off with one but still have to go and visit Claude. He was in the hospital for a few days but is home now and doing good.
          We are going to be leaving on the first and going to New Mexico to the balloon Festival and watch all the hot air balloon take off. We may try to go up in one if I can build up enough nerve to try it. well guess I will go back to work now break is over haaaaaaaaa 

Wed 9-16-09

just a short up date today we hat our hair cut and then Carl got his feet done and I got my eyebrows done permanent so no more drawing them on or forgeting to do just that. I like them but they are a little sore and I have to keep them moist with ointment on them for a week so be glad when that is over. well good night as it is past mid night and I am off to bed so sleep tight and have a wonderful night........ 

wed. 8-18-09

yesterday was a day I don't want to repeat. We had a faucet that was leaking and it was almost a new one so we called them to come out and replace it. which
they are going to do but right now they have fans going and drying out the underneath of the cabinets and wall. They said it will take about three days to do this so we got big fans all over the kitchen. I guess it could be much worse I just don't like the mess and they make it warm in that part of the house. So there is no
cooking going on here for a while and I don't mind that part of it at all. We are going to a Ice Cream Social tonight with some friends and they will have entertainment so that should be good. The weather is getting better in the A.M. still hot in the mid day and early evenings. Well that is it for now. I will quit my complaining for now at least.   

Thursday 8-13-09

Today I did my Job for a hour then at noon we will take her to get a perm. It rained here last night and this morning it was very nice almost cool or at least it would be if you are comparing it to a 110. I know it gets very hot here but I still love it. The only thing I really miss is the green tress and the grass. I just don't miss the mowing the yards. We went to a pie and ice cream social last night at the church that Carl brother Ron goes to and they had interment after and was very good and besides the good company. Mailed out the Birthday cards yesterday for the month as it is Son Jon and Daughter Shelly on the 16th and the 20th. We won't say how old they are for that makes me look old haaaa.........
    I was watching the news until I got so disgusted about how they are misleading the public on health care and how some people think just because they have care that they can't see that everyone needs it. If we don't pay it one way we pay it another way. Who do you think pays for everyone that goes to the emergency room and if they had insurance they could see a doctor and get preventive care before the problem gets so bad. To think that some people believe that roomer about killing off the old people. People are so strange some time.

Saturday 8-8-09

We had sorta a busy day but not to bad. We took my Lady that I take care of and got her hair done. We then went and had breakfast while she was doing that. We took her home and then went and had our hair cut at a different place as it was cheaper. we then came home for a while. Carl decided to go and wash the baby ( his truck) so I tagged along and he dropped me off at the 99 cent store so I shopped while he was washing his TRUCK. We then went and had our 99 cents Root beer and now we are home and Helen and Gerald are coming over to play the horse racing game. Long enough for us to show them how so lets hope that we can remember how it goes. Haven't been on the computer for a few days so am trying to get caught up on a few things. We are planning on Celebrating Carl's 70th Birthday on 12-04-09 at the Little Red Barn in Cottage Grove, MN. We are just starting to plan it but will send out emails and invitations soon. Well guess I will hush for now so take care till next time     

Friday night 7-31-09

Carl and Gerald left this afternoon about 4 P.M. as they are working in Sanders, AZ. Sat. and Sun. and will be back home Sun. night. So just home tonight and am going swimming in about thirty minutes or so. I have to take the Lady I work for to get her hair done tomorrow at ten and while she is doing that I will go have breakfast and then Helen and I are going out to lunch latter. I have to go shopping for a baby gift. I sure do miss our little Penelope baby girl. She is so cute but of course every Grandma thinks that I am sure.......... Well guess I will hush for now so I can go swim for a while. I know it is a rough life but some one has to do it and I am so thankful that it is me. Sunday

Today we got up early and went out to Queen Creek to brother Ron and took care of the Dog and Cat and then stooped and had breakfast and then home. We are just having a lazy day. Have to work tomorrow and take the lady that I work for to the Dr. in the afternoon. I think I need to take a trip some place and maybe just relax. It's not that I am over worked for I am not but just need to renew my self I think.. Oh well .......
       Have been on the computer and doing some pictures and just goofing around. So think I will get on my golf cart and go for a ride and clear my head for a while. until next time...................

Friday Morning early

As you can tell I haven't been here for a while but I am back and up late. I worked today for a little while and then we went to Costco and got a few things and one of those things was a Key Lime Pie and was it soooooooooo good. Of course that is not diet food but I do better when the pie is gone. Now does that sound like I am in the diet mode. Oh well..... Not to much to say tonight so will go to bed and rest my little bitty Mind...

July 02

Up early even if I was up late last night and out to McDonnalds to breakfast and then shopping for my lady that I work for and also for us.  Not much to say only that niece Terri is coming over and we might look at houses or just hang at the pool and enjoy. It is sure nice having them down. The Fourth is coming up and that is always fun. Well have a blessed day and enjoy

July 1

   Today is the first of July and I am still in June somewhere just don't know where and if I will ever get out in time for July or go straight to Aug. It looked like rain early in the day but sun is out in full and looks like we may never get rain.
   Just looked on Penelope's Blog and saw the new pictures of her at her first Play and of course she is more beautiful every day but I am sure that I don't have to tell her parents this as they already know.
   Talking about pictures I just found some that I had taken back awhile ago and lost them so I am going to up load some of them soon. I take so many and then I forget where I put them.
   Carl took his baby in to be worked on (his truck) and now it is clean and all fixed. He washes It ever week and sometimes more then that.
  My niece from Kansas City is still here and we spent Tuesday night at their friends that live here and had a wonderful cook out. Then she came over and spent the night with us and we sure enjoyed that. Her and her family are here until Mon. then they go back home. Will miss them when they leave. The kids are getting all grown up now and it doesn't seem possible for that to be true.
   We are going swimming this evening as we are trying to get into a routine for exercise because if we don't use it we will lose it and I think we have lost it already and probably never get it back.

Saturday 27,2009

Well it is a wonderful morning in Mesa and I am up but not at it to much yet. Carl is still sleeping and this is my quite time but think I hear something in the bedroom and that is him thinking about getting up. We take a lady to get her hair done this A.M. and while she is getting beautified we will be having Breakfast.
I was just on Penelope's site and read about her first camping trip and seen the pictures and they were so good. We sure do miss her and she is growing up so fast and we are missing out on so much. Sometimes I wonder if this is worth it by living down here. We love it here but sure do miss all the kids and all that they are doing.
   Well enough of that I will not feel sorry for myself today maybe tomorrow ha......

Friday June 19,2009

Well here it is almost a month has gone by and don't know where it went. We got back home on the fourth and I went to work that Friday and I think they were glad to see me back. It takes a little while to get back in the grove. Our friends down the street form us are leaving this next week and we sure hate to see them go but they want to be closer to family and kids. I love it here but do miss the kids and the Grandkids an  GGkid. We are going up to a cabin this weekend with some real good friends tomorrow and spend the night and hope they are still friends after that as we snore so much. I fixed Dinner last night for us Helen and Gerald and Marge and Alyson. I think it was pretty good or at least we are all still alive. Well guess I will head off to bed as I am going to get  up early and fix Breakfast before we leave to go to the Cabin. Night to all

Sunday

We are at Heidi's and Julie came over and we hung out at the pool. Heidi sat out for awhile she can't go swimming for a while yet but she enjoyed the sun as I did to. I didn't get in the water to many kids but they were having fun and that is what it is all about. We are going over to Michele's tonight for game night. We got Heidi a horse racing game for her birthday and it is so much fun so we will see how that goes. Jake is spending the night with us at Heidi's and we will swim then on Monday as Heidi is going to visit her Mother for awhile.Hope all have a wonderful weekend........

Tuesday

Carl and I and Heidi Mother are at the Hospital and Heidi went into surgery at 7:30 this morning. She will be in her room around noon and we are praying that all goes real good. She really likes her doctor so that is very good. We will go back to Heidi place tonight and be back here tomorrow as she will probably get to go home in the late afternoon. Well this is it for now and I will keep it updated.

Monday

Well to day is Monday and it is the day that I turned 66 Years Young. We are here at our Daughters (Heidi) and we are staying until Jun 4th as she is having surgery tomorrow. In my mind I know all will be fine but you worry anyway. She is a wonderful and fun person to be around and we love her very much as we do all the kids.We are so lucky to be able to do what we do and live the way we do. We are enjoying life so much. Just wish everyone could be as happy and as fortunate as we are.We have a new Granddaughter and she is so sweet. I am going over today for some more Penelope time.

April 28

Carl got me another card today for our Anniversary he gets me one on the 28th of every month as that was the day we got married. He hasn't missed a
Month since we have been married. Even when he was in the Reserves and he was away he would hide it some where in the house and then call me and
let me know where it was. So for 28 years he has done this. This June it will be 28 years it doesn't seem that long and yet it seems like we been together
for ever. Well guess I better go and tend to my roast and get it ready to take over to my guy that I take care of. It is sure beautiful here today it is about
83 and of course sunny. Well take care and have a wonderful Tuesday. 

April 14

Well I just finished our Taxes and filled them as we had to pay and wasn't giving them it early. It was beautiful here today and I had a quite day and really enjoyed it. We had Easter Dinner here and had about seven people and that was really nice. Last night we had friends over for left overs as they were out of town on Easter. Then we had neighbors up for desert also so was a really good day. Well Carl just hollered and wondered if I was coming to bed so guess I had better hit the sack as I am working tomorrow. So night to all

thursday

well did my horoscope ever hit it on the head today. It is beautiful here today about 70 and Sunny of course and all is quite. We are saying good bye to one of our dear friends as he is going back to Omaha and we are really going to miss him. We are going out to eat with him and his Daughter in Law and her Brother tonight and they are leaving tomorrow. We are going to MN. in May as our Daughter (Heidi) is having sugary in May. So have to get tickets for that trip as we will be flying back. I am so proud of her. She has made this decision on her own. Well guess I better make some peanut brittle for Harry and his trip back to Omaha. Till letter   

Sunday Night

We have had such a wonderful weekend out to eat at one of my favorite places ( up to the Lake) with some of our wonderful family Bro. Ron and Niece Allyson
the food was great and the company was fabulous as always. That was Sat Night and then today we had company all day as they dropped by and sit on the front porch and visited and had coffee and treats. What this world needs is more front porches. We love ours and it is always open to whom ever wants to drop by.We are so blessed. We went out to eat with one of our good friends Harry and he is going to be going back to Omaha on the 11th and we sure are going to miss him. He is 93 years young and so full of it. We are having Easter Sunday here and so far it is Ron and Allyson but you never know who may come. Well guess I will go back to the front porch and sit with Carl and watch the evening pass by  
 

Thursday

Well we went to Mc&Dons for breakfast and then to an Estate Sale and got a few things. Came home and went through our closet and got rid of the clothes that we had been keeping for when we got skinny again. Well as you can guess that hasn't happened and we have carried them around for years so they are on their way to a museum. Carl went to the post office and wash his TRUCK and I am putting off cleaning the house and the front porch. I is about 80 today so it is really nice. Going swiming after while. Hope all have a wonderful day. 

Sunday

Well I slept in this morning. Got up and read the paper or at least the adds. We then took a neighbor to the airport and stopped at the Casino for about an hour as it didn't take long to lose my money. Carl sprayed the weeds in the yard and napped in his chair and I played on computer and just messed around. not much going on today so latter

Saturday

Well it is a wonderful Saturday here in Sunny AZ. We are so sorry to here about all the bad weather that is happening up northern MN. Hope the water doesn't get to high and put any one out of their homes. The Ohio Nordins are visiting AZ. and are staying with brother Ron in Queen Creek. Julie Nordin is down also and is here for her Mom's Birthday and it was yesterday. Our friend Harry's Daughter in law will be here on Tues April the 7 and they plan on leaving on the 11th and we are sure going to miss him. We are fixing dinner for him tonight. All is fine here and Carl is taking a nap in his chair. I think we have to get rid of our reclining chairs for they must be crused for as soon as we sat in them and lean back our eyes goes shut and our mouth drops open and we start to snore so I think there is a problem.

Mesa, AZ.

Sat. night and all is well at #3 Nordins place. We went to Brother Ron's House and had pizza and fruit and salad and desert and everything was so good.
We had our annual garage sale here in Sun Land where we live and we went out for about an hour and spent two dollars. I think there is something
wrong with me as that is all I found. I love to garage sale but I don't need any thing. Harry came over this evening and we watched the Suns play
ball and then switched to dancing with the stars and I was surprised that he watched that show so goes to show you what you can enjoy at
93 years young. Well guess I will hush and watch the news so till next time  

Thursday

I am home after the test and all went good. well go back to the Dr. in a week and find out if I passed ha... the day is sunny and about 84.
I need to be baking some but I am putting that off as you can see. We came home and took a nap and it felt real good.

sleepy

To day I worked and then took Candy to airport and she got off and back home in Omaha fine. We sure did enjoy the time that she was here,
Tomorrow I go for some test and so the Morning is all ready taken up and I won't be home till around noon. We have to be there by 6:50 a.m.so then we will come home and crash for a while. I am off to bed as that is going to be very early.

Here again

It has been a busy day again and we are getting ready to go to the AZ. Opry and dinner. We plan on leaving about 5p.m. I made peanut Brittle for Harry
and Candy and had Breakfast for them before they left on their journey for the day. They were off to see some friends in Surprise. We had a southern
breakfast of Biscuits and Sausage gravy and eggs and of course Grapefruit picked fresh from our tree in the back yard. Well they just called and are
safe back at Harry's and she didn't even kill him.
        Talked to Jake our Grandson today and he wasn't feeling good and had stayed home from school. He will be glad when spring break gets here as
he and his Mother are going down to Mo. to see her Dad. Sure wish they were coming here maybe next year.
       The weather is 82 now and the sun is shinning and it is wonderful how could we ask for more. the only thing we could ask for more is that everyone
be as happy as we are. Good weather and Good Friends and Family and Good Health as far as we know, now that is a little bit of Heaven.    

Should be in bed

Well we took Heidi to the Airport yesterday and she had a good flight home but the flight was about 20 minutes late. We sure hated to see
her leave we enjoyed her so very much. Today we went to the airport and picked up a friend (Candy) of a friend Harry) and she is staying till the 18th.
Tomorrow we are going up to Show Low with them and then Tuesday we are going to the AZ. Opera for show and dinner.
    Well guess I had better go to bed as Carl has yelled at me twice to see if I am o.k. So Good Night

up at at it

Well I was watching T.V. last night and went to sleep in the chair so I was sleeping in one chair and Carl in the other then about 10:30 we got
up and went to bed so was up early and Carl is still resting maybe I better check and see if he is breathing oh yes I just heard him snore. It is
lonely now that Heidi has gone back home. I love it here but wish the Kids and the Grand kids lived closer but not to close Ha........
      Well I hear # 1 getting up (Carl) and  it is going to be another busy day as we take this lady to get her hair done and then it
is to the Airport to pick up this other friend of a friend. She will be here till the 18th and quite and few things are planed with them
     Well got to get ready to go for Breakfast it is a dirty job but someone has to do it Ha till latter   

Going home

Today is Wed. and we are on our way back to Mesa and then we will swim this afternoon when I get done working for two hours. Carl works tomorrow and Friday he he does not want to but you work when it is there and he is only filling in when someone wants off. We both do just part time. We sure have had
fun with Heidi. We love just spending time with her. She has grown into such a wonderful young adult and so much fun but we are lucky as all of our kids are
great and we love to spend time with them. Well have a fabulous day.

Still in Tuscon

We are still on a high form our new GrandDAUGHTER and is she ever cute Jon posted pictures. We are on our way to Bisbee this Morning after Heidi get up and around. We had a late night after we settled down after Baby Girl got here. I have to call her that as they haven't named her yet. I think they know they
just want to keep it a secret till the last minute. They are going to be such good parents and they have so much love to give.

Tuscon

   In Tuscon today and we went Tombstone and to big Nose Kates and we got a call from Son Jon and wife Genevieve and they were at the hospital waitting for their

new arrival and SHE decided to come into this world at 8:o8 P.M. and weighted 9.2 lbs. and was 23 inches long and has curley dark hair and of course she is

beautiful. We are so proud of her and her parents do we sound like proud Grandparents well we sure are. Well good night and oh yes when I was talking to Jon

I heard her cry and her Daddy laugh and that made my day.

Flee Market

Well we went to the flee market and had a great time and walked the whole thing out then over to In and Out to eat and that was a real good burger. We
then came home and Heidi went Swimming and Allyson had a flat tire and Carl went to help her and then she came over for a while and it is all ways so good
to see her. Then Helen and Gerald came over and we had cookies from the market and Margie Rolls and if you haven't had a Margie Roll then you haven't had
a good roll. Heidi went and met Jake for dinner and she took Carl's truck and he lived over it. Ha We have fun about him and his truck.

A wonderful day

Well this day has been a great day we got up and had breakfast here and I cooked believe it or not then we went swimming and sat in the hot tub and
came home and took a little nap then drove up to Lake Saguaro and had lunch. We did all this with Heidi and had a great time and we are so glad she
could come down. Tomorrow is to the Flee Market and more swimming. Well till next time.

Hello

Well here it is Thursday and Carl had to work to day but I had the day off of my jobs as I had to go to the Doctor. I have been having some little times that I
just didn't feel right so went to Dr. yesterday and she sent me to a Cardiologist and now I have to have these test down but I am waiting till our company is
gone. My blood pressure was up and he changed my meds. So now I have to go through the deal with Carl as it will be ever time I move he will say are
you alright and you can't tease him about it for he will get all pouty. Enough about that it is a wonderful day here and Margie was the one that took me to the
Dr. and we went to Breakfast at McDonald s and we had a blast. We giggled all the while and I think that is what life is all about. I read the Kids Blog. and
Baby Nordins and sure do enjoy that as it keeps us up to date on what is going on in life and their mimds.   

A wonderful day in AZ.

I hope everyone is fine today and I know some of you are having ruff weather but here in Sunny Az. we are about 85 and the breeze is blowing some so it is
just wonderful or as I like to say our little bit of Heaven. Daughter# 3 Heidi is coming down this Fri. for a week and we are really looking forward to it. We
are going down to the Military Base in Tuscon and stay a couple of days and go to Tombstone and down to Bisbee they are neat towns and will be lots of
fun as Heidi is so much fun to be with. We will have dinner here on Thursday as there are some friends and family that wants to see her so we are having Mexican
night and maybe she will help me cook as she is a real good cook.
We went up to Canyon Lake for dinner last Friday night with some friends and the place was packed and the service was not so good and we had just been there on Valentine Day as our Niece Allyson took us out for dinner and it was packed and the service was great and of course the food is always great. I think
that is my favorite place to go. The drive up is wonderful and once there you can dine in or outside and I love to be outside.
Well guess I will get back to work and clean some more on My Pig Pen and wake up Carl from his Nap.
